Apparently I am too efficient at putting the baby to sleep during the day, and this is why she is waking in the wee hours. Or so a mid-wife says.
But what to do? I can't keep a 4 and a half month old baby awake endlessly throughout the day.
I think they have it wrong.
I read somewhere recently than when they're born, their body clock is the opposite to yours, because they sleep when you're moving (due to the comfort of the movement) and they're active and awake when you are sleeping (when it's still in the womb). I think that's what it said anyway.. so, there probably is training involved, but I'm sure you can do it gradually. If she's getting melatonin surely her body clock is eventually going to stabilise.
